AFA ACQUISITION ANNOUNCEMENT Weber & Scher Acquires AFA Industries from Watson International Weber & Scher Mfg. Co., Inc. (WEBSCHER), Lebanon Borough, New Jersey, USA, is pleased to announce that it has acquired the assets of AFA Industries from Watson International, Paterson, New Jersey, USA. This new acquisition brings together the technical expertise of both companies to provide Weber & Scher and AFA customers with superior technical support and an expanded range of advanced equipment solutions from a single, complete and fully integrated source. Weber & Scher Mfg. Co., Inc., which was founded in 1915, have exclusively served the wire and cable industry with high performance equipment for close to six decades and enjoys a prominent position in this industry worldwide. Weber & Scher manufactures a broad range of advanced water blocking equipment and has offered metal tape shielding/armouring equipment for both power and communication cable since the inception of this technology. The products and technology available in the supply of water blocking systems further expanded in 1998 when Weber & Scher acquired the machinery division of Dussek Campbell in England. Weber & Scher additionally manufactures state of the art welded metal tape sheathing systems for producing RF coaxial cables, CATV cables and power cables.
